I'm using "RDesktop" application to connect to my windows desktop, but the problem is that the screen resolution is being downgraded from 1080p to 800x480 which is bad because it changes all the windows/icons locations to a non usable level.

i was wondering if there is an option to log in in 1080p (with down/left scrollbar to move around) and use the connection in a normal manner - something like remotix for android - http://www.nulana.com/remotix-android/

Anyone knows such an app/configuration that can be used for this?

Does the -g option work for rdesktop?(eg [1])
Failing that, I used to run a vnc server on the windows machine, and used Presence VNC [2] to remote in. It worked really well for me.

Used to use splashtop. You do have to pay for the mobile app but it was an excellent finger freindly, low latency streaming app.

-g option does work, but i can't find a way to move around the desktop - any special keyboard shortcut/other way for this?
