You can't but if you boot N9 with SIM holder popped out and replace after booting you won't get this message.

More than happy to be proven wrong!

I have no idea about any settings. Mind you, my N9 was second-hand, already activated. All I did was download maps and off I go.

Also, I have never had a SIM card in it.

Sadly, it is now broken so I am not in the position to give you any more details. When (if?) I eventually get around to fixing it, I may need to start from scratch. Prepare for a flood of my questions

It can be done.

Code:
chmod -x /usr/share/ovi-startup
chmod -x /usr/bin/ovi-startup
chmod -rwx /usr/lib/AccountSetup/bin/oviplugin
I think only the last line is needed, but I don't get the Nokia account crap at start-up with a SIM in it anymore.

@n950
You do not read the threads you are posting your questions in, OR?
Spoon feeding.

What settings are you asking for?
Drive and Maps both work offline as well as online

That sounds good. Could be THE solution. That was always on my todo but never came back to it as I still run my first N9...

A quick check with lsof seems to support DA5's opinion
I guess also that

should do the trick here.
Anybody to confirm?

Hello my friend, the third line isn't working. You need only the second line, I tested with my second N9.

Open xterm in devel su
Code:
chmod -x /usr/bin/ovi-startup && /sbin/reboot
Cordially.

See the setting:

Drive -> Three bars -> Settings -> Connection -> Uncheck
