I got my n800 one year ago.
Yesterday, I forgot to pull off when it is charged. So the charger is connected all day.
Now, the screen can never be lighted up, while the system seems to be booted all right.
can somebody help me here? or i should send it back to NOKIA?
Thanks a lot!

What does that exactly mean? 0% brightness?
What about the LED light, is it pulsating? *Exact* steps to reproduce welcome.
If all goes wrong, removing the battery for 10 minutes might also be an option.

the screen can't show anything, just be black.
i do removed the battery for a while, also removed SD card, but it doesn't work.
The problem seems to be caused by over charging.
does anyone have seen the problem before?
anyway, thanks for the reply

Can you see the screen with direct light on it? As in, the screen is working, but the backlight isn't.

You can't overcharge it. The tablets work the same way as a laptop, when they are fully charged they stop charging. They won't overcharge.

Another one bites the dust...
There are now many n800 screens that fail after a year.
I think your only option is to replace the screen, or just use the n800 as a paperweight
