First post over here at Maemo -- got my Nokia N900 delivered today.

I have an issue when it comes to the USB connection;

I downloaded PC Suite (latest), installed, got to the part where it says plug in your phone. I plug it in, the phone detects it and I select "PC Suite Mode", yet the computer nor the installation of the suite detects it at all.

There's of course a connection because it's charging, etc.

I also tried plugging it into a friend's laptop (without installing any software) and it didn't detect anything either.

Any assistance please?
