tried out the samsung galaxy phone yesterday

nokia has been noked out once again

get it

noked out

in that case developers should go back to basics

and finish off what they started on the internet tablets

even better would be to have android 2.2 running on a n810

I got mine a few weeks ago. It's better than the n900 in every conceivable way out of the box, and the cherry on top is that samsung is actually supporting it with more than just maintenance software updates.

Should be an infarction if it is as blatant as this. But I doubt users who have moved on really care

of course Samsung Galaxy S is newer, same as iPhone4G, HTC 4G Evo, etc. Once MeeGo handsets and the "N9" come out, a whole new loop in the cycle of competition. Who cares if Nokia is noked again? Consumers aren't supposed to be worrying about competition of the companies (all they care about is the income anyway), we should be worrying about the functionality of our phones/mobile devices.

Sorry but after having played around with Android I must say if the Galaxy S has a neer to basic Android on it - the N900 beats it by miles.

Shortcomings to me on Android

- Closing apps for good (without advanced taskmanger)
- Switching apps
- Switching internet connections
- Switching GSM, 3G

And it seems the galaxy is shipped with 2.1 so flash lite instead of full (but yes we could need 10.1 on N900)

I really don't care what people have to say about other devices and which one's better or worse. I CHOSE the N900 cos I wanted a N900. You can't tell me which wine to dring cos my taste buds are different to yours. N900 suits my taste very well. I think I'll be using it for a very long time, regardless of what other flashy device hits the stores

maybe it is the paying from it (or user preferences) thing because I tried one my brother bought and feelings after brief test were: was this really the long hyped and "the most amazing thing in the world" galaxy s?!?
