Ari Jaaksi mentioned wimax as one direction of development. Are we talking hardware or software or both?
will there be a n800i soon already? or rather i hope a module to insert into the internal slot...
can the experts here bring their lights?

I am no expert, however an SDIO solution via the external memory card would be the way to go. Providers could sell these cards preconfigured by subscription or pay as you go.
I doubt there will be very many "free" hot spots like we see with WiFi... (at first )

Actually, the Nokia WiMax strategy goes beyond the Internet tablet. It will be hardware (not software) in a few products. First is currently scheduled sometime in 2008, most likely in conjunction with the Sprint WiMax buildout (not Clearwire). I posted about it already.
