I wonder if there's anyone still supporting/interested in android except for a select few?

What makes android especially appealing now is the release of the Google Navigation application for android. The tablets have gps, but only one real (free) mapping application (Maemo Mapper). Google Navigation seems like an extremely polished effort by Google, and I'd love to be able to use it on my tablet.

i was wondering the same. i have tried navit and found it quite flexible but still quite a bit more work needed to make it user friendly for production use. but i love it. i'd like to try android plus google navigation app. tethering will be needed but i got that to work throught bluetooth on my samsung impression and att data plan.

I am trying to flash back to maemo and i found this...

"To flash back the original Maemo kernel:
sudo ./flasher-3.0 -f -F RX-44_DIABLO_5.2008.43-7_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin --flash-only=kernel --disable-rd-mode -R"

...but I have no idea where to use this in? Is there a terminal in android?

Just curious, have you tried to reach out to Google directly. I wonder how helpful they would be since its in their interests to spread Android as far as possible..
