Hi,

Is there any way to get configure the power button menu on the N900?

My biggest gripe is that the lock keys and screen button moves if you have an app open (end current task is inserted before the lock keys option). I would prefer if what i consider to be a key basic function remained static so i always know where it will be.

Sure: Edit /etc/systemui/systemui.xml

Change the items' priority to be lower than the "End current task" one so that they appear before "End current task" or something.

It would be nice if someone wrote GUI applications for these "edit file xxx" as I personally usually screw up stuff when doing those things

attached zip contains power button MOD

extract files to /etc/systemui/
  • end task will always be at bottom
  • pretty sure other buttons wont move
  • removed phone button (if you want to keep this only copy systemui.xml to folder)
  • if you copy both file to folder you will need to install the app 'cellular modem control buttons'

pls wait for photo.

What about adding more custom buttons? For example, I'd like to have a button in the power button menu called Conky for launching Conky directly from there. Is that possible?

Would like to hear more

I added some buttons to the power menu,
but to make the button do something is not so easy ;D

So it would be really nice, if anyone knows how to do that

I would like to be able to hold the lock slider (next to the earphones) for 2 seconds and have it either turn off all radios (flight mode) or switch between silent and normal profiles. any way to do that?
