Just a reminder,

after trying to use an android,

the venerable n900 is probably still the very safest
most secure tethered modem you can use
to patch a pc into broadband internet.
too bad it is still only 3g.

What's really sad is that “finally” in the thread name.

Yes, and No. The Droid 4 is ancient device as well, has non-resistive touchscreen.

Side note: I do not recall that the Neo900 targets SFOS

Much as I prefer Maemo over Sailfish any day and much as I consider Sailfish a step back from Maemo rather than forward, even I have to concede that targeting Sailfish is the way to go. Maemo is - and trust me, I am not saying it lightly - well and truly like the sketch in nieldk's link.

Hey, better "finally" than "soon", right?

Hahahaha
"soon"...

reminds me of a line from an excellent film...
when the homeowners ask the building contractors when they will finally be finished....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70xGgWIw5tU

excellent movie...
shelly long and tom hanks...
One of the best comedies ...
"the Money Pit"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJPju1f6p0E

god it makes me laugh...every time...
Tom does one of the best jobs in it...
He has a scene...where he laughs...
and it is by far ...the best laugh ever..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhrSzUm3zhU

God...there is just SO much in that laugh...
Best laugh ever...
excellent tragic comedy...

Speaking of tragic comedies...
When do you think the neo900 will be done?
I'm guessing 2 weeks...

When I were a wee lad, my parents used to take us on long hikes. My little sister would get tired/bored quickly and would always ask how far did we still have to go. My parents' answer was always the same, "100 metres."

Hah! If we are talking about the similar situations I can say something about my pizza deliver. When I order the pizza it's always the same situation, they say it's gonna take 40 minutes. After hour of waiting I'm calling them again, so they say "we are almost done", the pizza is ready on on it's way to you. Every time.

One time I was thinking, to take a car after those
40 minutes and park outside. So I did it, and called them, they said that pizza is on it's way. So I waited another 30 minutes when the driver finnaly came out and the pizza was almost cold already.

Maybe the neo900 will finnaly came out, but it's gonna be so cooooold.

Maybe we should park outside, how to name it, neo900 factory and call them?

In my opinion they should accept their own mistake and save some honor by telling the community the truth.
