Hi,

I have a US N900.

Does anyone know if it possible to enable all the wifi channels so that it operates at UK/Euro specifications ?

I was told the channels are limited in the US device.

Is this true ? Can this be changed via firmware or is this a hardware limitation ?

Thanks.

I don't know about this, but I am guessing (not sure, might be totally wrong), but maybe changing the "location" in the N900, to somewhere else, changes the wifi channels automatically.. Again, I am not sure..

You could always use Flasher and reflash with the "Global" Image?

why would you need to do this at all... does it boost performance in some way?

The topmost channel is in a frequency band allocated for amateur radio operators in the US. If the OP is a ham, he can use it to communicate with other hams.

If the OP isn't a ham, he'd be in violation of the communications act of 1934 if he transmits on it.

I'm not located in the US, but in Australia. So, I am not infringing on any amateur spectrum.

I would just like to use all the spectrum allowed (if need be).
