I've only had a chance to rip one movie and I guess I had the video bitrate a little too high... the picture is fine until large movement and then there are "chunkies" at the top and bottom of the screen (in the black bar areas.)

Anyone have any suggestions?

(I also had to rename the output to .avi before it would play...)

I'm just looking for a single program solution, especially since the half-frame rate output from "Media Converter" is kind-of annoying to watch...

Thanks y'all

The half-frame rate output from "Media Converter" was inspired by my own converter and is necessary due to the limited power of the 770's Video Player.

I've no problem with 352x288x25fpsx400kbps (XviD from FFMPEG) + mp3 128 kbps. Why don't u give a 25~30 fps option in your nice MConverter ?

Thanx.

Intriguing. I just created a new preset which ran at 25fps and it worked perfectly. Count that as one of the 2006 OS improvements.

I'll release an improved encoder shortly.

Cheers,

Andrew

I did use that program and was unable to make a movie with syncronized sound...

Could you share your settings?

That's been my biggest problem as well - I can never get the sound and video in sync, no matter what tool I use. Sometimes it doesn't matter, but sometimes it does

Perhaps I'm too agressive in my settings?

Brad.

"Watchable" movie:

1 .Use Nero to recode to desired x/y (uncheck Fit to media and adjust each slider to about 350K.) Select option to remove black bars.

2. Use media converter on resulting files to convert to .avi

As I said earlier, the half-frame-rate is the weak part of the result(s)
