Pinnacle (UK) Audio is introducing a new music server, the Athenaeum, which uses the 770 as a remote control touchscreen interface.

I was hoping for something like that to happen. The 770 really cries out with its screen resolution to be used for such things instead of a propietary controller. Now lets hope that an NX client with functioning text input is not that far away. It would allow to use the 770 for much more purposes with relatively little effort. (Should I make a poll about this, and if where would it be most effective?)

Besides, the Atheneum seems to be very nice at first sight (flac as standard is good IMO), and the coming cheaper and less sophisticated version could even come at a price that is interesting for ordinary people, too (solution from Slimdevices is at 1500$, and Atheneum could be similiar).

Bye, tira.

I too, partly. But it also is only partially working.
I use an X-forwarded Amarok for it, but there I havn't text input. I also tried the vnc solution, but I never could set up the server box (used the howto on the Gentoo wiki on terminal server setup) to to give me the right resolution for the Nokia 770. Any hints on how to achieve this?

Bye, tira.
