I have used both openoffice and documents to go viewer for using the ms word files and powerpoint files but as i am not able to find the activation key for documents to go viewer and i dont want to buy the premium software so please tell me some more good apps to run and edit ppt files and word files on my N900 without spending a penny?

Not sure about .ppt files, not heard of anything for editing those. yet.

But for your MS Word files, you could do a lot worse than give AbiWord a try. Supports a wide range of document formats and even saves pdf's.

you might want to try K office. they say it should work for ppt and word.

i installed abiword but i am missing some icons on the bottom toolbar. The same goes for my password safe add icon

anyone else get this?

If you need to make equations, openoffice on easy debian is good although I've found that the rendering of equations in ppt to
be unreliable at times. For simple text editing, Documents to Go is faster loading up doucuments and fits the screen on the N900 pretty well but is not free. I'm looking forward to seeing how freoffice develops.
