I haven't seen the Neo900 project fret too much about keyboard domesheet. Either they found where to source the part or haven't yet realized there's an availability issue. Either way contacting them might benefit both projects.

I got a reply from the guy who sells the (awesome looking) OQO keyboards:

Sorry the OQO is discontinued. I can count how many I have but for sure not 100.

Okay, I have decided! I am going through with this and will try to make 100 pieces.

-The 22 heroes that have donated to me are first in line and their donation is converted in a 'qwerty-oh' voucher!
-The next 78 will go to the first people that complete their purchase via the donate button below (signature)

Price will be 100 euro's plus shipping. This is a summation of the components, bit of labour, return of investments and a safety factor.
Shipping: country-codes and costs

-If the demand is way higher, I will either make another (or more) batch of 100 or transfer the money back! Kind of like a kickstarter.
-Ordering? Send me a email (see signature)

It features the A855 Droid keyboard. All functions and an arrowpad, available of-the-shelf, nice price and a very easy (so strong) construction!

Questions? PM me with 'qwerty-oh question' as subject, then I will update this thread with the extra info! Keep it clean

I might have something that could fit. Will check when I'm back at the office on Monday.
The cables/connectors I have will probably not fulfil all the requirements but they will be free of charge and can perhaps be useful for prototypes.

Don't know if that is relevant, but looking for an AZERTY layout of the Droid keyboard, I ended up here: http://goldgaingz.en.alibaba.com/pro...lex_cable.html

I find more results in the broken-French-Alibaba version: http://french.alibaba.com/supplier_g...0418500_1.html

This seller seems to have a lot of flex cables. Don't know if one would meet the requirements.

Still looking for an AZERTY layout of the Droid keyboard, I've found users reporting keys registering twice for one click, with this behavior getting worse with time, and fix with servicing and keyboard replacement by Motorola.

Just out of curiosity, is it possible to have other layouts (like AZERTY). Are the HW parts available and is software supporting it?

If you can find an A855 Azerty keypad, I can send you the keyboard without that part on it. Other keyboards are not supported hardware-wise.

On the software-side: the software is not yet completed, so I can't make any promises!
