Hmmm.. I may be blind, but I only see references to the GPS module and not the 802.11 chipset...?

I dont know about the N810 but here is a list of chips found in a N800 if that helps some...

Checking output from dmesg it seems the N810 has a Conextant CX3110X chip for wireless LAN. I think it's a closed source driver, at least parcialy.

so what's the iphone's wireless chip if anyone knows that detail and how it compares to the n800 series?

It figures... same as the N800

As far as the iPhone's chipset, its a Marvell 88W8686, which also does not support packet injection.
