Ok, maybe I'm way out of the loop (I searched for this model number on maemo.org).

Every so often I peruse the FCC DB , and I ran into this

LJPRX-51X - Dated 5/24/2010 the original Nokia n900 hit the DB in Aug 2009.

Anyone know what the differences are? I didn't see anything obvious; maybe just a internal refresh. The manual looked the same.

Interesting that they would bring the refresh to the USA if they were planning on discontinuing it.... Maybe a Meego based n900?

i'm rather surprised that the pictures in this document say "N00" on the device :O
is there a reason for that?

I suspect they used the same photo's from the original n900 release. I seem to recall it saying N00 on it...

If you look at the PCB it has old dates as well. They are probably recycling the pictures from last time...

Fun fact: On page 3 of the photos PDF, the first photos shows the back of the display part saying "ARM Cortex-A8 | 256MB RAM | 32GB | WVGA 3.5" | 10/2 HSPA" whereas the N900 only has "ARM Cortex-A8 | 32GB" there. The "Designed in Finland" is also missing on the photo.

The N900 displayed in the internal photos seems to be different to the N900 displayed in the external photos.

If you look on the 6th Photo (bottom of page 3 - Internal Photos), the text behind the screen says: 'ARM Cortex A8 | 32GB Designed in Finland' (exactly the same as on my N900).

But as the post above states, the external photos have a different writing behind the screen (see page 3 of external photos). The N900 in this document (external photos) seems to be some sort of dummy-phone or prototype.

Both pdf with images must be of different N900s, since they have different labeling compared to each other...

Wonder what is going on...
