Hello,

I search thru trhe forums, found some related but no luck for a solution for lack of WiFi connection..

1 - Connecting thru DATA mode from my provider is OK

2 - WiFi seems to work fine (I can connect. Into an open Ap in this case) but nothing loads.
It worked at the very begening, but no more.

ifconfig seems OK. I have IP adress, route seems fine.
/etc/resolv.conf is 127.0.0.0 BUT I don't have any /tmp/resolv.conf.wifi or else like it is said in some posts (may be it's different on maemo 5 ?).

Anyone can point me in the right direction ? Thanks.

So for the time being I'm only in EDGE mode but not WiFi.

I think 127.0.0.1 in /etc/resolv.conf is normal, (even when you configure specific dns addresses in the wlan connection via the setup gui ! The N900 seems to be running something called dnsmasq, which I'm not familiar with.)

If you do

nslookup google.com

and

ping google.com

what do you get back?

I had a problem where my wlan router was returning 1.0.0.0 as the address for anything (it's a bad interaction between the resolver library and some types of wireless routers) which I worked around by configuring a static IP for the N900 and putting the opendns nameserver addresses in the advanced part of the connection config gui.

Thanks for the response. Still no luck on this one whaterver I do.
It works on other Ap, so I guess this is an AP trouble. Thanks.
