I had a sales rep bring around a 54 - I wanted one,
but was leery of getting tripped up.

I demonstrated a SolydX (debian linux) live
on it with no problems,
the sales rep was amazed and took photos
of it running.

But the probem was the price (3500usd)
and the 11-week delivery wait which is just impossible.

The touchscreen is still alive. I bought the toughbook one year ago used in good conditions. Once it sliped down from a car engine bay and felt to the ground, after I switched on the engine which was shaking to much. I think it switched automatically off and no harm was recognisable. It is really tough.
