Hi everyone, just bought a N800 and am hoping to get alot of use out of the FM transmitter on it. In my car I can get my radio tuned in on it but there is ALOT of interference, changing the position doesnt help to much.

I searched it up and found this application.

http://maemo.org/downloads/product/Maemo5/fm-boost/

Although the download doesn't seem to work for me. And at that I don't know how to install it.

Cheers any help is much appreciated.

You grabbed Maemo 5 version but you're only running Maemo 4.

Cheers.

The n800 has no fm transmitter, only an fm receiver.
I didn't know about the "4.1" extras repo, always used diablo extras (i.e,leaving the distribution field empty in application manager).
Edit: Oh, they're the same

Seems he has n8 not n800

Which should remind us that n8 runs symbian , not maemo.

In the OP's defense, naming two products N800 and N8-00 leaves room for confusion, especially when some web sites like to drop the dashes when discussing new Symbian devices.

And now we wait for the N9-00.
