I don't know if it helps you anyway but there is a similar package available named libfaad2.(Both of them are MPEG-4 and MPEG-2 AAC decoders) . I am not sure if it's going to work though.
EDIT:Oh,I am misinformed. Faac is encoder and Faad is decoder.

maximum resolution this player allowed is 864x648
It played a little bit and then stopped or crashed.
Every program I use encodes it into 4:3.
