Have you tried to check the volume tapping in the status bar?

My N9 loudspeaker died out of the sudden.. I replaced the speaker with one I bought on ebay and my phone never resurected! :-(
I did everything from flashing device etc and though flashing was successful I am stuck on a nokia logo! Had to buy a second hand device and I might sell this one as spare parts.

your loudspeaker might have died. it's a really easy replacement if you're comfortable taking apart your phone. a replacement part is super cheap, USD$1.62 from this site. not sure about shipping costs, however.
