Should be do-able with a openwrt router. I love you Google Cache... Somebody try it out?

Here's a URL how to configure iodine. http://dev.kryo.se/iodine/wiki/HowtoSetup
I haven't tried it yet, so i don't know if it works.

Yup. An "internet tablet" Iodine server just for our use.
I'd do it but I don't have all my gear shipped over here yet (i.e. WRT54G running OpenWRT).

Woah there, tex. It's not done yet but is on the horizon for me as soon as the new condo is setup and my stuff is shipped over. I"m looking at a one to two month timeframe.
And I'd probably try to lock it down to IT MAC addresses, or at least to only allowing "Nokia" MAC addresses in somehow.

I'm setting this up at the moment. No, not a public IT iodine server, just a little server on my Mac Mini behind my FON router. It's not that difficult to set up. On the N800 side you don't need to do anything since that's going to be the client.
I would suggest everyone who is interested to check out the following URL's:

http://blog.cg.nu/?p=18
http://www.recalinux.com/core/?q=node/2
http://dev.kryo.se/iodine/wiki/HowtoSetup

and apply the information to your own environment. I'm not Linux savvy, but even i understand what they say, so....

when i have it working on my Mini i will try to implement the same on the FON router so i can switch off the Mini without losing the tunnel.

Is there a wiki page of this forum? I have a small howto ready on how to install everything including a router running Openwrt/DD-Wrt/Free-Wrt.

DNS Tunnel Howto:

On 770 install this:

Install latest iodine Version from here: http://www.mulliner.org/nokia770/rep.../binary-armel/

On DD-Wrt/Open-Wrt/Free-Wrt Router:

If you have just flashed your router to *-WRT you need to enable JFFS first to install packages...
1. Connect via telnet/ssh to the router
2. (this is the newest package from openwrt and should run on all *-Wrt platforms).
3.
ipkg install zlib
Now iodine should run

I couldn't get the test to run. Maybe somebody could check it out:
./iodined -fP test 10.0.0.1 test.asdf
