If this happened (and was not KaiOS) I would be all over it!

The N9 for me is still the perfect form factor for a (keyboardless) smartphone. If it had a modern OS and chipset, continued to have AMOLED and NFC, and a headphone socked (wired the now-standard way), then my wallet would be very ready indeed!

Hmm but according to the pictures here:
https://andro-news.com/news/gotovits...up/pretty.html
The whole thing looks flat and not "pillowy" like the original, also seems maybe bigger?
The pillowyness (and definitely the smallness) was part of the hardware charm for me ... reserving judgment...

Yep, it looks... average. I mean looks almost like any modern phone except for the screen edges. I still like it though.

I am pretty sure it will run Android 9/10 but maybe HDM will release some sort of Harmattan-like Desktop Enviroment to excite a fan's nostalgic feelings. Or maybe not. N9 were not popular in mass, I got to admit.

Actually N9 was popular, it sells more than million with limited advertising. And buyers was many times normal people and they liked it. And I know people that wanted buy it, but local mobile-store didn't sell it, so they bought another. Those N9 user move on some years later, when OVI-store stops working, they haven't enable that SDK-mode.

Sad news, it has Android OS with Nokia custom software.

But somebody should ask from Nokia can we have some information for making Maemo Leste or Sailfish for it.

(EDIT: I just read screen capture, but it is just concept, not real device)

Remake N810 as a phone with old cover but with modern phone specs and capabilities. I would not mind the size.
