Contrary to popular belief, you don't need to be a programmer to port Sailfish.

It can boot from USB drive (just not internal SD card). The first step would be to boot Linux distro with up-to-date kernel or Remix OS/Android-x86 to check the level of support mainline kernel has for your tablet. Check Android x86 Installer app, since it has support for 32-bit UEFI of your tablet.
