Just came across this on Woot!

For those who want a pocketable tablet with the largest possible screen, it's a touch larger than the N800 in the flat dimensions, and 2mm thinner; it weighs 24 grams less.

It's a good enough deal that I bought it although I'm not positive I'll keep it. (I probably will.) I've wanted a replacement for my N800 that has a larger screen, weighs less, and doesn't get sluggish on the web. It seemed to fit the bill. But I feel bad leaving Maemo and my trusty N800.

It sounds like it has full access to Android market.

Here are some links about it (they're hard to find since it just got released in the US):

Here's one on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHUF5xDeJJI

And another video, finds screen just pops, smooth, responsive:

It's nice but with it being the same price here (and screen resolution) with the first galaxy S (i9000) i'd go for the 9000.

Also, I don't see that it has a camera.

Samsung says it does have GPS and a Camera. Take a look at the Features page instead of the Specs page.

I ordered and then canceled my order. Believe it or not, I'm still pretty happy with my N800, though I wish it didn't stall out from lack of memory.

The main reason I canceled is that I decided to wait for a slightly different form factor, something a little more pocketable. It seems to me that there should be a tablet with a 4.3" to 4.5" screen that weighs no more than 150 grams. I wish it would have son-of-Maemo or grandson-of-Maemo on it, but I'm not holding out.

Apart from being a little big for what I want, this 5" Galaxy WiFi is pretty much on the mark for me: good web browsing, microSD slot, GPS, Ogg support, Android Market (if it's going to be Android, I want the Market), ...
