Are you sure you use the base/blanco theme now?
And the most important thing is: are you sure you putted the images, named Pdeskbg1.png and Ldeskbg1.png for the W-1 and W-3 options or from Pdeskbg1.png to Pdeskbg3.png and Ldeskbg1.png to Ldeskbg3.png for the W-2 and W-4 options, in the /home/user/MyDocs/Pictures/.backgrounds folder before applying Tweak W? The red background can mean missing images..

Ok, are you really sure that the images had the correct dimension and name, with upper and lower case letters, number and extension, without any extra space?
I told you again, because in the past this happened to me too, the red background is a sign of a missing image..

I've got it. I had to resize the pic on computer. The file size was too big (I shot with phone's camera and forgot about size).
Thanks to both.

In "my" version (i use) in some tweaks the path to the end file is different..
This version not should be in the repo, i added it only for tests of repo/tweak.

And I just want to report that transition between 9.5.9 and 9.8.4 isn't clean (on apt-get upgrade sed fails in preinst). remove and install works.
