Seems like I can't move the page up down or left right by sliding over the screen? Is that what's expected?

Hey qwerty, give us an update so we can give you more Thanks!
I want to see if we can get your thanks-count above your post-count

(Yes, this is Evince from Debian Sid, displaying a Djvu file)

It's in extras-devel, but before you rush to install it:
  • It's not fully Hildonized - I will work on this tomorrow and during the week.
  • Keybindings aren't all there, either.
  • Postscript support is disabled. I have no interest in uploading the dependencies required to enable it.
  • I stupidly didn't remove the NoDisplay line in Evince's desktop file... Will re-upload when I've finished Hildonizing it...

Before you scream at me, this is in Extras-devel only and I am working on it.

Poppler and Evince are optified, but I can't say the same for all of its dependencies.

Oh, and for you Qt people (BOO! HISS!), I've uploaded the latest Poppler with the Qt 4 bindings.
Dude you are a hero. This is one application I really needed on the n900.
A couple of months ago I was toying with the idea of porting this to maemo 5 but with family and work commitments (I am a developer) I would not be able to spend much time on something like this.

A Huge thank-you for what you have done for the community!

Hi Qwerty,

thank you for your great work. Unfortunately I also pressed the slideshow button and can't exit the slideshow view anymore. Any idea how functionkeys (F5) are implemented in maemo5? Or how to exit the slideshow view?
When opening a new document the program stays in slideshow view...

BTW when you are on it, what about a port of KCHMviewer? The previous version by Karatchov works on Maemo5, just the QT menu's are wrong...
Thank you for all your great work

<ctrl> + <enter> also takes you back to the 1/2 full screen (not sure what's the technical name for this screen )

qwerty12, thank you so very much!!!
If I could wish for new features (based on v2.28.2), I'd like to see the zoom setting retained while in full screen mode and the volume/zoom rocker work as next page/prev page. I forget how evince worked in Diablo, but I loved its functionality there.

I guess it helps to play rather than request...

<ctrl> + <space> enters "special mode" which allows full screen page turns using the zoom/volume hardware rocker switch.

Now that zoom control for full screen mode (have books with lots of white space in the margins)... Did I not find the magic keyboard combo yet?

None of these shortcurs works for me. No ctrl+space, no ctrl+enter.
Speednut, are you referring to Qwerty12's beta version?

You mean in Presentation mode? Don't think zoom works there; on my desktop zoom has no effect. Presentation mode is a waste of time IMHO on the N900, and my time is better spent improving the Fullscreen view.

At least when I switch from non-fullscreen mode into Fullscreen mode, the zoom setting is retained.

Grab -maemo1 from extras-devel. I uploaded an update yesterday which is still not finished, but is a damn sight better than maemo0.

Quick list of shortcuts:
Ctrl-O - Open;
Shift+Enter - Properties;
"Quick Page Down" - Ctrl+Down;
"Quick Page Up" - Ctrl+Up;
Show/Hide Side Pane - Ctrl+Z;
Toggle Fullscreen - Ctrl + Enter;

Toggle special mode: Ctrl + Space

In special mode:
Volume Up: Next page
Volume Down: Previous page

In "normal" mode:
Volume up: Zoom in
Volume down: Zoom out

If special mode is off and you're in Fullscreen mode, you can tap the top and bottom of the page to have it go down.

"Fn"+Enter - Bring up the menu

Except for a few that I removed, because they conflicted, the rest of the shortcuts should be the same.

@mtjioe

Qt is not my cup of tea, sorry.
