I'm also quite new here and I will give you advice. If you do not wan't to get unpolite answers to your questions you should read the N900 wikipages. There are instructions how to search information from the forum and how not to ask questions/start new threads about subjects that already have their own threads. I should have read it very carefully when I came here but I didn't and I have made many mistakes. This same thing works in every software or device forum. After you have read the wikipages and when you have then.search the forum with words like hacking, hacking tools, wifi tools you have probably found your answer. Because N900 is a debian distro you can google wifi password hacking debian and when you find tools then youcan search for that tool from this forum.

I just try to help you not to do my mistakes. Then if you do not find any information after you have tried this way then you can continue asking in this thread.

Or maybe there is some member here who will help you to find the information you are searching.

I'm still amazed how people just want to hack wifi without knowing how and what they are doing and what they are allowed to do...

Sorry there Peter...
I don't think its "Rise of the Machines" just yet.

Newmo here seems pretty human to be quoting ...
(let alone the atrocious English..)
Please PLEASE Newmo...
U no need write like dis.

So you want to know how to do wizardry right out of the starting gate ..eh?
Ok ...
Read everything you can in the wiki pertaining to the n900.
Then when you understand what you have read...
Read the pertinent n900 subforums.
and once you have done those two small tasks ..
and have a full understanding of how to use your n900 ....(above and beyond figuring out how to turn your n900 on...that is..)
THEN you should have no problem with doing all kinds of madness with your n900.

Until you wish to sit down, read, learn, search, and apply what you have learned ...well...no one can begin to help you.

Start with "The Perfect N900 Setup" in the wiki.
If you can manage that ...
Then you are ready for beginner stuff..possibly...if you have an understanding of linux as any background learning ...that will work in your favour...and make things easier for you.

But ....folks coming here ...insisting they be instructed on how to be able to build a nuclear bomb...
When they have a hard time understanding how gunpowder works first.
IS worth the chuckle .

And Maemish has it right.
learn learn learn...first.
then you can understand what is doable for your level of understanding ...and expand your base of knowledge to fathom...and accomplish what you currently desire (that of course will change as time goes on...and other interests may catch your attention instead)

And it is a given that new folks get a ribbing when they show up ....wanting this and wanting that...
Take no offence ...
It isn't malicious in intent.
Give it a few years and you will be getting a chuckle at the "new guy" who just showed up doing the very same thing....and steering him in the right direction....
