To all having problems after T.8 - Hold your horses and don't flash. Remove sd card - Pali as usually is right

I can confirm success after charging then removing the SD card.

Combinations of removing battery, removing SIM card, & waiting were not effective; but after charging the phone on the wall charger until the LED was green then removing battery, SIM card, SD card, waiting 60 seconds, then putting all back in except the SD card, the phone then booted.

hanks to all here!

If data is being collected & in case it makes a difference, my SD card is 64G.

Where is Orientation Lock accessed? I had mine locked in Landscape, & now it seems locked in portrait. Shaking the phone vigorously has not changed it back.

Edit:
If I slide out the hardware keyboard, it rotates to landscape. Close the HWKbd, & it rotates back to portrait. It's sort of fun watching it whirl around.

Filebox no longer sees the 64G SD card when I put it back in & restart the phone.

Checking the SD card on a card reader on an XP machine, the original contents of the SD card are apparently OK.

I think I will spend the afternoon backing up the SD card before working on getting the N900 to see it again, in case it may corrupt the SD card. The entire population of the planet Crouton was digitized & downloaded to my SD card before the planet was destroyed, & I would hate for the CSSU team who work so hard to make the N900 awesome to inadvertently commit genocide. It wouldn't be fair.

The new osso-systemui-tklock looks for /etc/hildon/theme/backgrounds/lockslider-portrait.png (for a portrait background image). If that specific file is not present, it will not switch to portrait.
Update went smoothly. However, the lockslider-portrait.png image file cannot be not found in referenced folder. Is it in the:

/opt/usr/share/themes/alpha/backgrounds

folder. Creating symbolic link to /etc/hildon/theme/backgrounds and rebooting still does not enable portrait lock.

Thanks to all for moving our N900s forward!

One thing I mentioned, that the ringing tone had reverted by itself to the default Nokia Tune...
also, the alarm tone was the default one even though the previous one was still selected.

(sorry for cross-posting from http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=90385 )

Basically, on latest CSSU my device is entering reboot loop. My solution is to boot while on wall charger.

I'm using power kernel.
Here is syslog with failed attempts and one successful (the last one): http://pastebin.com/6sYspitX
