What am I doing wrong? I would really like to try this out.
Better late than never :-)
Meanwhile its export SBOX_DEFAULT_AUTOMAKE=1.10

I'm still trying to find a way to convert svg to png by script in scratchbox without segfaulting. This is necessary for autobuilding navit packages.
Any ideas are very welcome!

Looks like it has some potential (I love a good variety of nav apps to choose from!)... however, the build in extras-devel is a little crashy for me. It will normally route along with me for a couple minutes, then it will die. Anyone else have this experience? Any luck fixing it?

Never mind. i got it working trough x-term and debugging also
Did you get it working?
I can start it via xterm and then it seems not to crash so frequently, but still I can't add destination.

I followed my route yesterday for more than two hours - no crash, but when I start it from icon, it crashes in about five minutes (and every time I try to add destination).

Is there a good navit.xml + images -combination available somewhere?
I'm still missing a huge amount of images (from errors I get to terminal).

i got it work via x-term, navit looks and works better if i start it after sudo gainroot command.

at the moment i cannot add routes, dont know why. i was able to add one route when i was playing with italy map
now it just says that route_path_new: no_route, pos blocked

Dont know if it has something do with that italy map was ready to download and Finland map was trough planet extractor (or something like that)

Destination from icon doesnt work for me, it freezes the navit, have to add destination trough menu

I have added icons from message posted earlier on this thread, but it misses some icons also.

Edit:
It seem that i cannot make routes for long distances. Lets say that i make route at the one city, it works fine and it makes the routeplan.
But if i try to make route between to cities, distance about 120km, it says that no_route, pos blocked

How do you get the menu?
I can't find one anywhere.

maybe you have to enable it in navit.xml

<gui type="gtk" enabled="yes" toolbar="1" menubar="1" statusbar="0" fullscreen="1" font_size="300" pitch="00"/>

in that line you can choose what you want to enable or disable
1=enable 0=disable

ok, I'll try that.
Now I don't have gui-gtk installed...

Tried it, but it didn't work (for some reason).
Now with GTK-gui I can see the menu and could get my map to daylight as well (away from night -mode).
