I like the portrait mode. I do not want to work extra to get the portrait mode today, here are the apps will get you portrait mode automagically. Mind you, some people complaint it cannot be uninstalled. I am not sure how true is that, anyway, I like it. Pics for your enjoyment. The bigger pic of the cable is actually the same pic but placed portrait by N900 and RE-placed vertical by this posting

Almost TI Graphing Calc Emulator
Blocks
ColorCode
Garnet VM and its palm apps
gPodder Podcast Client
Free42
Midori
Panucci
Phone (enable Turn will trigger phone when turn)
Photo (comes with your N900)
PyGTKEditor
Pyrecipe
StockThis
Stopish
ukmp
Xournal
Zoutube

Just turn your N900 vertical, it will automagically show the portrait mode

Anybody find out more apps that would do the portrait mode....today?

TIA,

bun

Stopish (very basic, works well, no issues so far) supports portrait.

There are some progs, that work only in portrait mode. For example, ColorCode.

hp42 (the calculator) supports portrait, but unfortunately you have to use an option to select either portrait or landscape (and it will stick to that, even after restart, which is good). If it had an 'auto' mode in addition that would use the accelerator to switch it would be perfect.
