Hi all,

For those who haven't noticed, the voting for the council is on now, and will close on Sunday evening. If you haven't done so yet, mosey on over to maemo.org/vote, and cast your vote for your favourite candidates. You can see their election declarations at http://wiki.maemo.org/Community_Coun...September_2009 to refresh your memory on who they are.

Cheers,
Dave.

Is it Sunday evening yet?

"The voting period for the specified election has closed, but the results of the election have not yet been calculated. It is not possible to see the results now."

Reposting from maemo-community:

It seems like the error is mine. The end date was set to
2009-09-26 23:59:59 instead of 2009-09-27 23:59:59. Incidentally, the
start date was also set incorrectly (the election duration was one week,
from last Sunday).

Unfortunately, I don't have access to the database directly to change
it, but I just got through to Niels, we'll get it sorted out & extend
the election another 24 hours.

The closing date will now be 2009-09-28 23:59:59 UTC.

My sincere & profound apologies for this mistake. Mea culpa.

Dave.

Hmm, not sure where to address this to. I have a talk.maemo sign-on and a maemo.org sign-on, but I never got any email about voting. (If this matters, on my maemo.org profile, it shows under Websites only "Garage.")

I suppose I've done something wrong that has made me "disenfranchised" (despite a Karma of 269), but I don't know what.

Considering previous reports, the probable cause of your problem can be

The email is actually somewhere in your mailbox, including spam folder.

You connected your maemo.org and Talk accounts recently and before that your maemo.org karma was not big enough to vote.

Dave might know more. Contact him just in case.

What's your maemo.org username? I can reissue your token, but I'll need to know quickly (and for "who to address this to" - that would be me (as indicated at the end of the post that started the "Voting is open" thread).

The other alternative, as was pointed out, is that you linked the accounts very recently, and your pre-merge karma was under 10.

Cheers,
Dave.

I found it I think - geraldko, join date 2008-02-01, karma 265, email cointoss50@domain-name.com - is that right?

I'll resend your election token email, but I can confirm that you were sent one already - check your spam filtering (which is odd, since I didn't think I sent spammy mail).

Cheers,
Dave.

Dave,

Talking about e-mail and spam...

Could you edit your post above and remove geraldko's e-mail address?

Just to reduce the chances of the spam-bots harvesting it...

(Also, notice above that he got it sorted; it was a mistake on his part)

EDIT: Oh, I guess "domain-name.com" isn't his real address. Never mind! Carry on.
