Hello
In this short tutorial I want to explain you how to install full-working Opera Mini 8.0 on Maemo 5 (N900)

1. Download phoneME for Nokia N900:

2. Save it to MyDocs, then in XTerm run command:
Code:
sudo gainroot
cd /home/user/MyDocs
dpkg -i cvm_maemo-mr2.b168+svn20547-20120818_armel.deb
3. You may need to run "apt-get install -f" then to correct problems with dependences.
4. Download Opera Mini:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/j5zxz...35626.deb/file
https://mega.nz/file/NxxV2CzC#QOPj1f...dx9_N3mTYtCo8U
5. Save it to MyDocs.
6. In XTerm, run:
Code:
sudo gainroot
cd /home/user/MyDocs
dpkg -i operamini_8.0.35626.deb
mv /usr/share/applications/operamini.dekstop /usr/share/applications/hildon
7. Run Opera Mini from Hildon's apps menu.
8. Ready

Someone created this info for Harmattan, I only changed some things to make it working on Fremantle

Works perfectly on N900

Could you (or somebody) package it for the n8x0?
I tried installing these on n810, bit it didnt work (the install showed no error though)
Opening midlet showed something like ‘invalid instruction’ when i run it from terminal
