N900 with Portrait Support




In this video I am using proximity sensor to activate portrait mode.

You can also use Camera button.

The latest version of shortcutD in extras-devel adds this functionality.

Installation:

1. install shortcutd from extras-devel (here)
2. install proximityd (here)
3. go to settings and configure the app (it is at the bottom)

you can set portrait shortcut to camera button or proximity sensor

So it's basically CTRL+SHIFT+R, but with a shortcut..

the idea is great - doesnt really work for me (not accusing your implementation, more the way that nokia recognizes rotation).

it works fine for me, will be better if the yellow notification can be removed
or if the rotate action can be actived by the accelerometer

I'd rather use camera shutter long-press than proximity sensor. Quite useful nonetheless.

I would prefer a permanent activator for ctrl+shift+r, is there any solution for that?
