In FBreader, you add a book to the library by browsing to the respective file. Files on the MMC card are in "/media/mmc1", but where in the whole file system is the "Documents" folder which is available in the 770's file manager?
Same question, by the way, for Audio Clips, Images, and Video Clips.

Why that?
ebooks are so small, take up so little memory space, I want to keep them in the internal mmory and not on the MMC card (which I may change from time to time).

I put a wiki page up about this a while ago, I knew it'd come in handy:

thanks - good Wiki, I have the answer but not the solution: since the directories are hidden, I can't tell FBreader to load the document from there to it's library.

Mikhail Sobolev posted a note in the FBReader forum at Mobileread.com indicating that the problem stems from a bug in FBReader.

He writes:
The bug is that FBReader cannot get to Documents directory.

...FBReader currently does not show files and directories that start with '.'. This is going to be fixed.
So you will be able to move your e-books -- just not yet.

Perhaps a workaround would be to use a symlink from your MMC to your document directory on the tablet.
