And that OMWeather did not call hildon-desktop crashing, you have to put your OMWeather widget on safelist.
Code:
/usr/share/applications/hildon-home/calendar-home-applet.desktop
/usr/share/applications/hildon-home/omweather-home.desktop
/usr/share/applications/hildon-home/google-search-widget.desktop
/usr/share/applications/hildon-home/homeosso_rss_feed_reader.desktop
/usr/share/applications/hildon-home/location-home-applet.desktop
/usr/share/applications/hildon-home/mediaplayerhomeapplet.desktop
/usr/share/applications/hildon-home/ovi-promotion-widget.desktop
/usr/share/applications/hildon-home/tutorial-home.desktop
/usr/share/applications/hildon-home/conversations-inbox-widget.desktop
By the way, in safelist is better to place all your installed widgets!!!
What you are saying here makes don_falcone right! If you don't put it in the safe list, OMWeather will crash your desktop.

I thought you just posted contents of /usr/share/applications/hildon-home/
@mr_pingu, I am sorry, in the message №24 I have not written a way and consequently have entered into error. Has corrected!

I'm confused. Why is there a safelist ("whitelist"?)? What's it's function?

Widgets from safelist are automaticaly loaded again after hildon-desktop crash.
So do not put there widgets that make phone to reboot!!

thanks for this leaked version of accuweather!

i like the app, but i deleted the widget as always requesting for connection.

app is smooth, forecast working, i like the index things but the radar map is stuck on january 23 and hourly forecast have wrong values for temperature

how to fix this? i guess is not recomended to write to support@accuweather.com and reference the AccuWeather.com Maemo Application like sugested in help menu

ps: what is the left bottom arrow for? it just shows an empty popup

I've just found out that the AccuWeather widget is obtrusive, so here's a way to prevent it from self-adding.

Code:
sudo gainroot
mv /usr/share/applications/hildon-home/awxapplet.desktop /usr/share/applications/hildon-home/awxapplet.bak
To have it back, just inverse the paths.

Maybe a unreleased extras compilation would be nice? We have live calendar icon, accuweather... what else is hiding in the repo?

myname24: u might want to link this to the first post

What do you mean by self adding?
