It's a pity, that people who actually have a phone with a keyboard still can't type all letters needed for a text to be readable...

Hi Freemangordon, accidentally i understood from where comming my problem about installation cssu-thumb2,the key lies in ke-recv,on clean installation only with kp52 and usbmode when i installing version of ke-recv 3.19-17.1+thumb0 or 3.19-17.2,the symptoms are the same(black screen)
Maybe that script in /etc/default/osso-mmc-blacklist.sh is troubled, there is some explanation
http://wiki.maemo.org/Community_SSU/Features/ke-recv
I don't know,maybe I could be wrong
regards

it should installed manualy or automatic when we install the cssu-thumb?

i reflashed again my maemo today, and i tried to install the cssu-thumb,but i got a messagebox from AM said "there is no ARM errata installed on your device for thumb2", and i click on ok, after that my phone restarted and i click on cssu enabler installation because i don't see cssu installed on my N900, restart again when i check in my settings it back to CSSU 21.2011.38-1Tmaemo11 but not thumb

I'm running kp53 and CSSU stable; I can go with usual installation reported on post #1 to install CSSU-thumb?

My current enabled repos are:
- Nokia SSU mirror
- Nokia Apps mirror
- Maemo extras-testing
- CSSU-stable

Should I enable only CSSU-thumb or do I need to enable CSSU-testing too?
There is some known issues with non thumb-packages?
If I mess my system, reflashing rootfs should be fine, or do I need to back-up something?

Thank you very much

Hey, because my N900 is slow (very slow!), I decided to do a flash (with emmc).
Last time I installed CSSU stable and then CSSU Thumb I think.
To be honest, I do not remember much anymore.
But I think I simply did install cssut as mentioned in the cssu t section.

my question is, can I install cssu t also without cssu(stable)?

Would it be better to have cssu t without cssu installed? or doesn't it matter?

Is CSSU Thumb always (more or less) on the same height as CSSU Testing?

Edit:
P.S.: I have deleted the quote due to senseless information. I had it cssu t installed normally on cssu - but I DID NOT have the power kernel itself.
Please notice, two pages before in this Thread I have seen that someone had problems installing CSSU T after the power kernel!

Yes.

The latter. It does not matter.

I am not sure what you mean by height but they are pretty much identical, only CSSU-T is built with an extra compilation option to generate the Thumb code. It also means that CSSU-T is always a step behind CSSU-Testing, as it always has to wait for any updates to appear in Testing first. However the delay is not usually that great and in any case, you get the Testing updates first anyway, only not compiled as Thumb. When they make it to the Thumb build, you get them again, slightly smaller. I hope I get myself clear, it's been a busy day.

Regarding the kernel, CSSU (any flavour) comes with its own kernel, unless you already have KP installed. If you intend to use KP, and I would wholeheartedly recommend so, then I suggest installing it first, before installing CSSU.
