Sounds more like poedit: http://www.poedit.net/index.php but I don't think it supports pot files.

(/me likes turning mo files into po and then using gedit personally :/)

Hehe, pot files.

Poedit supports both .pot and .po files.

I didn't know what pot was meaning but with your "Hehe", now I have learnt a new english word

Hehe, pot files.
It does support and I'm do using it. It can update existing .po(t) files like diffs do.

Hmm... May be GConf is down... No "Items" tab in settings?
try chmod -R 777 /var/lib/gconf/apps/advanced-battery
Or wait a bit. On weekend, I guess, 0.2.28 will come out...

It works when you cp -r /var/lib/gconf/apps/advanced-power /var/lib/gconf/apps/advanced-battery

hmm, i have tried just about everything here. including a uninstall, reboot, reinstall.

i still get just a settings entry in the menu, and a empty items tab.

ah, never mind. i had to restart the tablet to get the changes to stick.

and i see its advanced-power thats being used.

i also noticed that the user and group on advanced-power was root, not user:users like most of the rest (others where messager, or something like that).

Just to check, you've also tried installing and then rebooting?
