Hello,
I just bought an N800 and I can't get gmail to work with the built in email client no matter what I do. Sometimes it works for a few minutes but it imports only my oldest archived messages and it stops before it gets to any of the emails exchanges I have had within the past year. But then it stopped working all together and I can't make it work again. It can't send or receive mail or import any recent messages from my inbox.
The settings are as follows:
Under Account:
Account titie:Gmail Account
Retrieve: Headers only
Retrieval limit: no limit
Leave messages on server: checked
Under Incoming:
Incoming serer (POP3): pop.gmail.com (gray so can't be edited)
Secure connection: SSL (POP3S) (gray so can't be edited) (though I was able to change this earlier somehow)
Port: 995 (also gray)
Use secure antuentication: Checked (also gray)
These items that are now gray weren't gray before so I was able to edit them before
For Outgoing:
(these are not gray)
Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.gmail.com
Use secure authentication: Login
Username: myemailaddress@gmail.com
password: my gmail password
Secure connection: Normal (TLS)
Port: 587
Use connection-specific SMTP servers: unchecked
At the moment of me writing this, it is showing the mailbox as full of very old email chains.
