I appreciate the effort put into this photo but it's less of a photo and more of a creation. You could've at least put it on a different background. And it doesn't have to be that specific.

The only valid background for those spiral noodles seems to be a big pot filled with water. I can't believe that you are so mean that you think that i am able to rearrange those noodles on swimming water

From a philosophical viewpoint you might be right but in that case all shown photos here are a product of some creation, either of mankind or in case of the flower of god, and the latter might be a creation of our mind, and our mind might be a creation of god .. philosophical spirals .. i give up, you're right

I think a still life photo is well within the rules of the competition. The genre is fully accepted in the art world, and in painting its history goes back millennia..

I haven't said that. Every photo in this thread is a still photo as a matter of fact. But what bothers me is if someone is going to prepare and arrange something and take a picture of it, it could've been done a bit better. It's not enough to just make a shape using some objects and snap a photo, it's more about finding a good angle, having a better background...

Half-Life,
Your first post sounded like you were challenging the validity of BluesLee's entry. Apparently robthebold read it that way too, so it's not only me.
Your second post sounds like you are questioning its quality, which is a completely different thing.

FWIW, I also think that the photo is well within the rules as well as this month's topic. Whether it is good or not, well that is up to the voters to judge.

Here are the entries all lined up for voting.

1.Half-Life_4_Life - Huawei Y300

2.Acidspunk - Xiaomi Mi3

3.chenliangchen - BlackBerry Passport

4.lyluushalyluri - Nokia N9

5.robthebold - Nokia N9

6.BluesLee - LG Nexus 5

BTW, BluesLee and the rest, I never questioned the validity of the photo as it fits the rules and fits the theme, but it kinda annoys me when some effort is put into a photo it ends up looking kinda bland. And I'm a photographer, I'm not making money from it but I truly love photography and I just want to motivate all of you to take some shots and improve.

EDIT: I vote for Acidspunk.
