Hi all,

Thought I'd start to publish some announcements about the Mer Core (http://www.merproject.org) work that's ongoing as there might be interested people here.

Keep in mind Mer is a Core and doesn't contain hardware adaptations or UI, so you'd have to look to projects like Plasma Active or Nemo Mobile for this, for N900/N950/N9/N8x0.

Bug triage 2/1/2012 at 14:00 UTC in #mer-meeting

We'll be having a bug triage for Mer at 14:00 UTC on
every Monday in #mer-meeting on irc.freenode.net, starting today.

A bug triage is a process to:

Ensure bug report completeness
Analyze and move bug to proper component if needed
Set Assignee of bug report (via "Assigned to" field) to proper bug
owner if any exist
Set appropriate bug priority
Adjust bug severity properly (initially set by bug reporter)
Resolve obvious invalid, duplication, won’t fix bugs etc.
Forward bugs in upstream components to upstream bugtrackers and adding
the upstream URL to the URL field of the report, if applicable

We'll be searching for all non-task bugs that has need-triage@ as bug
assignee and go through them one by one in the meeting, utilizing the
Mer MeetBot (http://wiki.debian.org/MeetBot). Software developers are
more than welcome to attend, to add a technical angle and perhaps
assign some bugs to themselves to work on.

The bugs we will try to walk through can be found using:

As this is an announcement thread it's not the right place to ask questions. Also as Stskeeps stated in the first post this is the core. For instructions visit http://wiki.merproject.org/wiki/Nemo or join IRC chat at #nemomobile on freenode if you find something difficult
