I don't have anything installed other than NITDroid. There is no real point. Jack all works, repos do not have any content. Nothing is built for arm.
e17 did not work for me.

I can give it a shot later in the week, it will be late week, early weekend unfortunately.

Oh well, could you link me to the NITDroid kernel?

Sorry guys I couldn't get back to this thread any sooner but I am just changing jobs, and that takes all of my time at the moment.
However, E17 should work out of the box, so what was the problem with it?

For me: It works. It's just not worth it. It's grey scale. All distorted. Unreadable. Unresponsive.. Just terrible.

Albeit - working (to an extent).

Hmmm... Couple of things;

Not worth it, you say and I tend to agree. It's more a "proof of concept" than anything else, as the repo's are as good as empty.

Grey scale: That is true but I think it was intended like that, in order to encourage users of Enlightenment to create their own themes. I downloaded the grunge theme, just to name one that I liked, and I can't say it's ugly nor grey scale See attachments for screenshots of mine.
To download themes, have a look at
http://e17-stuff.org/index.php?xcontentmode=7000

All distorted: What is distorted? You don't have the correct fonts, or? If that's the case, make sure you
Code:
pacman -S ttf-dejavu
from your chroot prompt. Should be readable.

What parts exactly are inresponsive? For me it's the fastest of the three that were offered in this thread. So I can't help but wonder why you would say that.

Looked into it, couldn't fix it. And truth be told: I found the whole distro terribly slow, so I'd rather continue with some quicker distro.

Solution to keyboard bug is this:
Use Qoles Easy Debian scripts.

I have done this. Works just fine
It's a lot of screwing around. I need the scripts (xypher etc) and we just need to add what we are missing.

Ubuntu is fast enough. I like this build.
Anyhow! Keyboard issue is fine and fixable. I fixed it and lost all data.

I really depends on the n900 to use a desktop os
