I coincidentally heard a Coldplay song today. I think we should make this the official Meego/N9 song.

The lines he couldn't change are referring to source. You could actually see him caressing what looks like an N900 at one point, tight in hand. This makes it my official N9/Meego song.

I don't necessarily disagree though. I just heard it on TV.

First of all it was a rough estimate and it was 1000 per shift which is 3000 per day. Second, they're in ramp up, and that was yesterday so perhaps today its 1500 per shift. I don't know. Third, they start shipping the day they start making them (well I guess they have to make a couple before it makes sense to actually move cargo, but a couple of days tops). I think they started making them around 20 September. Not sure though, didn't ask. But they were not yet making them around the 15th.

They should just send me one... to test if their ramp up was successful.

Yeah. That sounds about right.

3.5G is another way of saying HSDPA so the symbol is equivalent. As for the actual speed it depends on the actual implementation and if the company reports values with overhead or without.(the N95 also was 3.5G but it supported only 3.6 mbps and IIRC the N97 went up to 7.2)
I don't know why overhead is so much but it is on wifi too. The real throughput of 892.11g is just over 25mbps, and you can test it by moving a large file over wifi
I cannot now find where was that article that explained all this but I remember that the HSDPA class of the N900 was listed as 21.1/10.2 so it may very well be as fast as your SGS2. Nokia has always been quicker than the competition adopting new 3G speeds.

I don't mind him personally.
He's an excellent live performer, been to 1 or 2 of his concerts over the years.

qualcomm rocks, i don't care what anyone else says
I believe it's one of two different SoC's that Mango devices can use.
I can't recall the names off-the-top-of-my-head, twas outlined in an Ars article.
I'd love to know how the Nokia 900's* SoC, compares to the N9's OMAP3630.
Particularly CPU, GPU etc. Ideally OS's aside, & then later w/OS's of course.

*that'll be the name most likely, or 901.

Australia? Different to the ones posted here? i.e. localised
I haven't seen the Australian one/s yet.
Wondering if it's totally localised, that'd be impressive.
