I have been looking for a good tablet to use strapped to my leg in the cockpit while flying, mostly for PDF checklists, maps, and approach plates, preferably convertible with a snap on keyboard for preflight stuff and other tasks.
The Asus Transformer T100TAM is my hardware/price favorite but the Lenovo Yoga also looks good; but it is difficult to find which ones will actually USB boot to Ubuntu like a normal computer or similar level of easy.
Unfortunately I do not want to play in a minefield where some hardware versions will boot and some will not.
I also want to have access to USB, USB host, full video resolution, wifi, bluetooth, and GPS without too much trouble.
Who has a tablet which mostly just works with an alternate FOSS OS?
