hello

when i click on the maemo update it says "to update your device to this version of the operating system you must use the Nokia software update application on your pc. Connect the device to your pc via a USB cable and launch the application"

Well ive gone to the software updater on my pc and it says Name:  software.jpg
Views: 1610
Size:  46.8 KB

what do i do? Last time i updated the software it was through the phone. Something must be wrong with my phone??

The problem is you do not have enough space on your device for OTA update. Re-install the PR1.1 as it says on your screen. This will clear out your memory and make enough space for you to install over the air. Its two stage but works for people who are afraid to do a direct flash, or cant wait until wednesday.

If you want to do it through the phone I think you need around 58MB free in rootfs.

Try un installing some applications.

whats happening on weds?

ive removed a who lot of apps but the rootfs only has 22mb of free space... what else can i delete?

Disable repositories from application catalogue...that will free atleast 11MB.

Moving Nokia Maps (has to be done as root) will save 8.7 Mb:

mv /usr/share/nokia-maps /home/opt/
ln -s /home/opt/nokia-maps /usr/share/nokia-maps

ive tried that, it says something about permisions
