Where can I find Xephyr source code? Seems to be a big secret.
I run Slackware so debs are not useful.

Have you tried this link:

http://xorg.freedesktop.org/releases...idual/xserver/?

or

sudo apt-get source xserver-xephyr ?

DISCLAIMER: These two solutions are coming from a relative Linux Noob equipped with just a google search :P Your mileage may vary

Thanks, but that link gives you the entire xorg install I think. I have no desire to screw with my functioning X Windows setup.

As for apt-get.... I'm not running a debian based system. Hence the need for source code, or a working Slackware package.

Xephyr is a xorg component, so the source code for xephyr is in the xorg source code.

Thanks. I googled for hours and couldn't find that. Googled for several days in a row actually.

There's a Slack package in the parent directory that I hope works. Thanks!

This was a bust.

I got Xephyr installed once before, looks like it isn't going to happen this time around. Seems like a stupid idea to roll it into X.
