This Gnumeric is actually really good. Almost identical to the full size Linux version.

Could you just put 1% of effort and explain what you would like to achieve and most importantly without showing contempt to the work of others provided for free!!

Hi.
I'm using Gnumeric often, but I have a noooooob question:
As it's used "by default" on my N900, Pr 1.3, files are registered as ".gnumeric".
So I can't export them or open them with sheet to go, or Excel.
Any help?
I don't speak very well english...
Thanks!

You can use File, Save As to save as different file types, but you'll need to remember to do that the first time you create a file (subsequent saves of the same file will keep the same file type). There doesn't seem to be a way to set the default file type for newly created files to be anything other than .gnumeric, but that also seems to be the case with the desktop version. See http://www.vladd44.com/ubuntu-linux/...save_excel.php and https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345067 for some more info.

Thanks guys!
It was really simple...
It seems not to be possible to set default files type...

I know is lot of work, I do not want to show disrespect.
I want only better gnumeric for me. Selfish?
Now I learn Python because of gnumeric do not have something dynamic.
I do not want to blame anybody.
I only want the n900 to have more respect then other phones

What I wanted is a dynamic update. Something like:
when you push the button (created with object toolbar) the signal will update a cell variable with other cell variable. Maybe once or more times.
Or dynamic update of a cell from file or web.
Something macro.

I think is in plan to do with that object toolbar objects.

If it was created in python or PyQt it was [easy]easier for me to add all kind of plugins.
If someone can show me a way to interact with gnumeric with python I would be happy....or no such?....or maybe someone will create a python window for gnumeric.

as of .17 of gnumeric the author claims it supports conditional formatting, well i made an excel file with this with MS Office 2010 on the desktop then transfer file to n900 i open with dataviz or gnumeric and they do not appear? I know dataviz does not support it, but i have the version ending in .17 for gnumeric and it's suppose to support this so how do i make it work? thanks in advance.
