clort, Awesome!! Thanks for sharing.

Nikos, well iOS that out dated won't let you get to store to reinstall stuff. So unless you have a back via itunes there wont be days of fixing ... since it wont get fix (as far as I though). I'm sure someone more crafty then me could make it happen some how, its not what apple want .

Maemish, duuuuude .... get with the back up program. At least start doing some rsync backups .

x

If you don’t have jailbreak, you can download some older app versions from App Store if you had them installed before (even if I didn’t, I download them on my 11 pro Max and then they appear on purchase history). But in general, you don’t mess with installed apps just in case!

Well, still have all my backups from 2011 so finding my stuff is not the hard part. It just gets super annoying when you wait endlessly to install apps. Also the random errors and issues that will occur for sure.
To be honest the worse part for me is that in the end, after this painful and time consuming procedure, i still end up with a device that is stuck 10 years behind and i can’t use as a smartphone.
It really gets under my skin.

Ah, I see.
Thanks for clarifying.
It's this link.
Yes, there appears to be no source code available for current versions (just spent 5min searching).
Still, sunvox is great. has proper documentation, a forum even...

Sorry for OT, back on topic now.

It used to be open source before vers 1.4 it looks like. Here is the early engine https://github.com/bohwaz/sunvox

and also this link to Community-maintained mirror of SunVox distribution, https://github.com/warmplace/sunvox

2 sec search :P

Can't wait for update. Should reflash my N900 and would so much like to change to Leste but I know it is not yet ready for that. Just waiting for calls and sms, telegram and browsers already work so then I am ready to change.

On the pinephone just install the image to a SD card or Jumpdrive and mount the EMMC to install or do we need to add uboot somewhere.
I will check the hash and try again for a SD boot.
On second try same thing so I am going to let it sit for a while and assmue it is unpacking itself onto the SD. All I get is the RGB LED and a black screen.
I have not yet made a serial cable so cant read console from boot.
This will be the first time I boot Maemo-7!
(edit)
Sadly that image is not booting...
I will check the link in a few weeks and try again with the next build.
What is cool is I can carry around a few SD cards to boot OSs, reminds me of when I used to have several disc sleds and ports on my tower back in the 90s.
