Best bit: "supports European bands so that is definitely good news."

I came to peace with it in very short time after some stages:

1. saw a seahorse kind of thing and thought wtf...
2. realized it is a sailfish on closer inspection and started to like the vividness. Only it swimming away is still not 100% clinging.
3. the s and f are really nicely hidden in the shape and i am finally sold on the design after discovering them.
4. I still do not like the arial style font on Sailfish OS so i prefer the textless version.

Good with a hw partner though...
I will buy it , the moment it is released in India. For me the specs are not bad. In fact i think those are carefully picked specs to cater to the maximum target market in India. People here generally prefer phones in the range of 10K (200 USD) . A samsung with 2GB ram and quad core will cost usually 13-15K . The cheap android manufacturers (read intex , micromax , karbonn, xiaomi) sells the same spec phone at around 7-10 K(120-140 $) . So if the price of 146 $ and the spec sheet is true , i think Intex marketing has done its job in picking up the market sentiment.

As per Intex's Sanjay Kirona, the assistant vice president and business head of mobile business at Intex Technologies, told The Mobile Indian that the company will launch the Aqua Fish in India by April this year.
