This is an application from someone who has suffered.

Excellent and successful implementation.

I love it.

Thanks.

Thanks for the app - adds a very useful neat feature.

And just for the others who, like me, couldn't find the app icon:- it's under Settings -> General -> Connlock

I have restarted the device, re-installed, disconnected and reconnected to a trusted network.
Every time i lock the N900 through power button menu and I slide to unlock or use the side switch or double tap the power button I still get the lock screen in a trusted network.

Any help much appreciated.
I seem to have forgotten to add one depency: wireless-tools.

Try to run:
Code:
/sbin/iwgetid
If you have it, could you say your the name of your WLAN AP and check, if this gives you any error messages:
Code:
python /opt/ConnLock/Daemon.py

Did you manage to add 3g-network as trusted network and now it's not working? It shouldn't be possible to add 3g-network as trusted.

Sorry,
I meant this:
I installed the app while I was connected to wifi
I trusted the wifi which I was connected with
--everything worsk great--
I was leaving, switched too 3g network(manually).
I came home, n900 connecs automatic to wifi(the trusted one)
-- it doenst work anymore--
currently: I'm connected with the trusted wifi, but my n900 still locked after 5 min...

Thanks

Tried that and it worked :/ Did you notice that it wont automatically unlock when you connect to network, you have to have to lock the screen, if it's not locked already and then unlock the screen?

Good. I'll add it to dependencies when I get home.

EDIT: 0.2.1 which includes this is now in autobuilder queue

I'll check, if the network manager has dbus interface or something where I could check the current network, instead of using wireless-tools.

for me this app works good.
I tested it today when in various trusted and untrusted WiFi networks as well as 3G data, when I came home my phone was unlocked automatically as expected.
One wish remains: it would be even better, if it would unlock faster. In fact, auto-unlocking is much slower than typing in the code manually...
Would it be possible to speed this up?

When I coded the daemon's version 0.2.0 I monitored the dbus trafffic a lot and selected the signals which are sent first. I takes less than second for my device to unlock. Try to unlock it with different ways (slide keyboard open, power button, slide button) and tell me, if there is any difference between them.

Does anyone else have this problem?
